Pediatric Sleep: A Clinical Foundation for Family-Centered Providers
Explore the science of pediatric sleep and gain practical, family-centered strategies to support children and families experiencing sleep challenges.
Sleep has an effect on nearly every aspect of a child’s growth, development, learning, behavior, and overall wellbeing, yet many pediatric professionals receive limited formal training in sleep. This introductory from Liz Harden course provides a practical, evidence-informed foundation for understanding pediatric sleep and supporting families through a family-centered, neurodiversity-affirming lens.
Participants will explore the science behind sleep, including the biological processes that regulate sleep, key sleep hormones, sleep architecture, and changing sleep needs across developmental stages. The course then introduces the core foundations of healthy sleep, examining how schedules, routines, physical activity, environment, and emotional security contribute to restorative sleep.

I’ve been following The Pocket OT for a while now and wanted to let you know how helpful the website has been. It’s empowered me because I am in a rural area and need fun treatment ideas for our small team.

I wanted to let you know I have attended some other Trauma related courses in the past, however, I think since yours is from the OT perspective, I found it to be much more informative and useful to implement in to future treatments. Thank you so much!
I thought I knew what executive function was but after the master course, I am completely looking at the students on my caseload in a new way. It’s amazing how behavior and EF are related.
