Paper Tree Craft for All Seasons

Paper Tree Craft for All Seasons

Kids Paper Craft

Kids of all ages can enjoy this awesome activity. It’s perfect for learning about the seasons and different colors in nature.

Items for the craft are affordable and readily available.

List of Supplies:

  1. Colored Craft Papers (fall = yellow, orange, brown) (spring = bright flower and green) (summer = different shades of green) (winter = white, blue shades)
  2. Scissors
  3. Craft Glue

Instructions:

Step (1)

Prepare a piece of paper for the background (canvas); I used 6 x 4 inches sky blue colored paper. Cut out a rectangular shape from brown colored craft paper, this will be the trunk of the tree. The size of the trunk (rectangular shape) I used is 3 x 1.5 inches.

Step (2)

Select least 3 different colored craft papers, depending on the season. For example, use orange, yellow, and brown papers for a fall vibe. Cut the 3 colored papers into 4 cm x 1 cm strips.

Step (3)

Take any one of the strips and apply a small amount of glue any one side of its width.

Step (4)

Bring the other side of the strip and overlap it with the glued part to create a roll pattern.

Step (5)

Similarly, create about 30 colored paper rolls.

Step (6)

Take the piece of paper prepared in step one (the paper with the trunk pattern). Start to attach the colored paper rolls on the top side of the trunk pattern. Use craft glue to attach the rolls on the paper and attach the rolls on the paper with their sides.

Step (7)

Continue to glue the rolls until the tree pattern is complete or until you’re satisfied with the pattern.

Step (8)

Done gluing the rolls? Allow the glue to dry for a while and meanwhile grab more colored craft papers and create another one!
